The next entry in the franchise, Bayonetta 3, launches exclusively for Switch next month. The only issue that I had when compared to the first is the final boss - the final boss of Bayonetta 2 wasn't built up as well as in Bayonetta 1, and it was on a much smaller scale than the first game's final boss. Bayonetta 1 came to Switch years ago, but it was bundled together with Bayonetta 2 via a download code. Wield wild weapons and execute deadly moveslike the powerful Umbran Climaxto take out angels and demons in this breathtaking action game. Difficulty felt more reasonable this time around, especially when it came to unlocking characters, and while the Umbran Climax might have been overkill for most enemies, it was still satisfying to use. Bayonetta’s back and more powerful than ever. There were a wider variety of enemies, and while some of them (Sloth) were a pain to deal with, none were anywhere near as bad as Gracious and Glorious. Play as both Cereza and Cheshire and search through the treacherous forest to look for the power to save Cerezas mother. Alongside her was Cheshire, her very first demon, possessing Cerezas stuffed toy. The setting was much more colourful and vibrant than the first game, they removed instant-death quick-time events and most of the overly-long gimmick levels (and the one that it did have, in the final level, turned amazing when you equipped the Star Fox outfit), the story was more straightforward, and the combat was just as smooth as ever. Long before this trainee of the dark arts would come to be called Bayonetta, she took a fateful journey into the forbidden Avalon Forest.
